Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court - Chairman of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Sergey Rudakov took part in the ceremony of presentation of the Annual Report of the Chief Justice of the Republic of Indonesia Mohammad Sharifutdin on the results of work in 2023, held at the Jakarta International Conference Center.


March 4

At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, Sergey Rudakov, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court - Chairman of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, met with a delegation from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by Prosecutor General Mohammad Movahedi Azad.

Sergey Rudakov highlighted in detail the most pressing challenges facing Russian justice at the present time.


March 13

Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court - Chairman of the Judicial Chamber for Administrative Cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Tatyana Petrova received the Head of the CIS Observer Mission, Deputy Secretary General of the CIS Ilkhom Nematov.

Tatyana Petrova informed about the number and nature of administrative cases considered in the Supreme Court related to the protection of electoral rights in the context of the electoral process of the election of the President of the Russian Federation.

The delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kingdom of Thailand headed by Deputy Prosecutor General Surajit Pattanasan, visiting Moscow at the invitation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, was received by the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court - Chairman of the Disciplinary Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Sergey Rudakov.



23 May

The XIX Meeting of Chief Justices of the Supreme Courts of the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held in Tashkent (Republic of Uzbekistan).
The heads of the Supreme Courts of the Republic of India, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan took part in the work of the Meeting. The Russian delegation was headed by Irina Podnosova, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
The Meeting discussed the experience of the courts of the SCO member states in considering the category of criminal cases on combating transnational human trafficking, measures for the widespread use of mediation in civil proceedings, problems of protecting property rights in justice and ensuring the inviolability of private property, the formation and prospects for the development of administrative justice, the prospects of digitalization of justice with the use of new technologies in court proceedings.
Following the Nineteenth Meeting of the Chief Justices of the Supreme Courts of the SCO member states, the heads of delegations signed a Joint Statement.


June 17

Alexander Dzyban, Chairman of the Judicial Panel of the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Judicial Panel for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, met with Judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of India Surya Kant.

At the request of the guests, Alexander Dzyban highlighted the structure and organization of the work of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.


June 17 - 21

Within the framework of the Russian Federation's chairmanship of the BRICS Association, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation organized the Forum of BRICS Supreme Court Presidents held in Sochi.
The Russian delegation headed by Irina Podnosova, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, included Yuri Ivanenko, Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial Chamber for Economic Disputes, judges of the Supreme Court Tatyana Vavilycheva, Tatyana Zavyalova, Alexander Chervotkin, Chief Justice of the Krasnodar Regional Court Alexey Shipilov, Rector of the Russian State University of Justice Vladimir Kulakov.
The agenda provided for discussion of a wide range of issues related to the implementation of justice, taking into account all modern trends in the development of judicial proceedings, including “Ensuring uniformity of judicial practice”, “Judicial protection of social rights of citizens”, “Protection of investors' rights”, “Protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in criminal proceedings”.
Representatives of the Supreme Courts of Russia, China, India, South Africa, Brazil, Arab Emirates, Egypt, Iran and Ethiopia noted the importance of continuing meaningful dialogue between the BRICS Supreme Courts and emphasized that they shared the idea of the necessity to further develop cooperation, organize mutual visits and training programs to ensure the convergence of judicial systems.
Summing up the results of the BRICS Supreme Courts Forum, Irina Podnosova emphasized that the Forum will undoubtedly contribute to the harmonization of legal systems and convergence of legal approaches in the BRICS member states in order to improve legislation and law enforcement practice.
As a result of the Forum, a joint statement was signed.
